Meet Marngrook's new mascot ... Grooka the Possum.

Grooka is certain to become best friends with Ronnie Burns.

Our hairy friend will appear alongside Ronnie on the cheersquad quiz segment on the Marngrook Footy Show in season 2010.

Mathematics is Grooka's strength and Grooka will keep score of the number of correct answers from cheer squad members.

Grooka was a big hit with footy fans, especially with the kids, during filming outside Etihad Stadium on Friday night and Sunday.

Look out for Grooka this season.

Grooka has already been likened to Hey Hey It's Saturday's feathered friend Plucka Duck.
